BookClub HQ Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of BookClub HQ, its website, mobile applications, and related services (the "Service"). BookClub HQ is operated by Stormwind Solutions LLC ("BookClub HQ," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, safeguarding your credentials, and activity that occurs through your account. Do not share an account in a way that compromises its security or another person’s privacy.

2. The Service

BookClub HQ provides tools for people to organize and participate in book clubs, including club administration, shared reading lists, book discovery, reviews, meetings, attendance, chat, photos, and reactions. We may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary.

3. Clubs, roles, and member conduct

Club owners and administrators manage their clubs, including membership decisions and club settings. Moderators and administrators may moderate chat according to the available tools. You agree to respect the rules of each club and our Community Guidelines.

We may remove content, limit features, suspend, or terminate accounts or clubs that violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, law, or the safety of others.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, provide, improve, secure, and promote the Service.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that it does not violate law or another person’s rights. Do not upload copyrighted material, photos, or other content unless you have permission or another lawful right to do so.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Harass, threaten, impersonate, exploit, or harm another person.
  • Post unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, or abusive content.
  • Spam, scam, advertise without permission, or collect another user’s information without consent.
  • Infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
  • Interfere with the Service, bypass access controls, introduce malware, or attempt unauthorized access.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

6. Purchases and subscriptions

The Service may offer optional paid club subscriptions. Prices, benefits, and availability are shown in the applicable storefront and in the app when available.

  • Purchases on iOS are processed by Apple; purchases on Android are processed by Google Play.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, subject to the rules of the applicable storefront.
  • You can manage or cancel a subscription through the subscription settings of the Apple Account or Google account used for purchase.
  • Refunds, billing disputes, and payment processing are governed by the applicable storefront’s rules.
  • A club subscription applies to the club identified in the Service, subject to the plan terms shown at purchase. It does not automatically apply to every club a purchaser belongs to.

For iOS users, Apple’s Standard EULA also applies where required.

7. Third-party services and content

The Service may display or link to third-party content and services, including book information, location results, authentication providers, storefronts, and external retailers. We do not control those services or guarantee their accuracy, availability, or content. Your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not guarantee that book information, meeting information, or user-generated content is complete, current, accurate, or suitable for you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, BookClub HQ and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from the Service.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BookClub HQ and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, or others, or when you violate these Terms.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated Terms and revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use after the effective date of an update means you accept the updated Terms, except where law requires a different form of consent.
